Congrats

Hi everyone,

Well it's a beautiful warm day, the sun is shining and I've been for my power walk. Life is good. Now it's time to post a card that I made for the current Watercolor challenge at A Blog Named Hero here.

Here's my card:

I started by stamping the Hero Arts Large Open Flower stamp with white embossing powder and heat setting.

I moved onto colouring each of the little petals of the flower with 2 different colours of Peerless Watercolors and blending them with a water brush. When I was finished that I decided to die cut the flower image using a Fancy Frames Circles die from Sunny Studio Stamps which fit perfectly around my image.

I stamped the sentiment with Versamark ink and white heat embossed onto die cut banner. The card base was covered with an orange panel on which I also stamped the flower image randomly with Versamark ink.

Added foam tape to the flower and sentiment and applied to my card base.

I used some Little Things from Lucy's Cards to add a little sparkle.

Well that's it for my card and thanks so much for stopping by.

WPlus9 Basic Banner stamp and die

Bubble kisses

Hi everyone,

Well it's a humid rainy day here so it's a good day to be in my craft room.

I have a card to share that I am entering in the My Favorite Things Color Challenge here.

Here's my card:

I used the adorable My Favorite Things stamp set called Bubble Over With Joy and stamped each of the bunnies and coloured them with Copics. I fussy cut them out because I didn't have the matching die set but since then have made that one of my latest purchases as I know I will be using this set a lot more.

I die cut a panel using the Inside & Out Diagonal Stitched Rectangle die set and blended in 3 different colours of Distress Inks. When I had decided where I would place each of the bunnies I went ahead and stamped my sentiment.

For the cloud I die cut it first and then ran it through a dotted embossing folder.

The bubbles were stamped with the same inks as the panel and then I applied Glossy Accents to each of the bubbles.

I applied the panel to the card base which I embossed using the same Inside and Out Rectangle die set and then I added all the elements with foam tape.

Well that's it for this card and thanks so much for stopping by.

Supplies:

MFT Bubble Over With Joy stamp set
MFT Die-namics Inside & Out Diagonal Stitched Rectangle die set
MFT Die-namics Stitched Clouds die set
Distress Inks - Squeezed Lemonade, Tumbled Glass, Worn Lipstick

Birthday wishes

Hi everyone,

Today I have a card to share and which I am entering into the current 'The Birthday Project' challenge on the My Favorite Things blog where the details can be found here.

Here's my card:

I started by blending 3 different colours of Distress ink to my card base and added some water splatters. Once that was done I ran the piece through my die cutting machine using the Horizontal Collage Cover die to cut out all the little squares. I then stamped each image on the square and heat embossed using white embossing powder.
Some of the squares I applied directly and some were popped up with foam tape.

I stamped the sentiment onto a strip of vellum and heat embossed with white embossing powder.

I added a star to each side for a little sparkle and that's it for my card.

Supplies:

MFT Die-namics Horizontal Collage Cover die
MFT Bearthday Bears stamp set
Distress Inks - Salty Ocean, Picked Raspberry, Moved Lawn
Simon Says Stamp white embossing powder

Ice Cream favorite flavor

Hi everyone,

I am entering this card into both the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge 'Stencil It' and also their current Flickr challenge using stencils.
Here's my card:

I started  by creating my background panel using the Simon Says Stamp Diagonal Stripe stencil and 2 different colours of Distress Oxide inks.

I die cut the finished panel with a Stitched Rectangle Scallop Frame die and added that to a base of Lawn Fawn pattterned paper called Watercolor Wishes which was die cut using a large stitched rectangle die.

The ice cream and cone were stamped with different layers of ink colours and popped up onto my card using foam tape.

The sentiment was added, a few sequins and some Lawn Fawn twine and that completes this card.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Have a Wild birthday

Hi everyone,

Today I have a card to share that I created for the current 'Stencil It' challenge at Simon Says Stamp here.

I started by masking off a portion of a Newton's Nook stencil and moving the stencil around blending in Simon Says Stamp ink as I went along. I applied more pressure to the base of each leaf so it would appear darker and then lightly blended the colour up the leaf.

I used a stitched die and cut out a square for my lion. On the card base I stamped a Lawn Fawn lion and coloured it with Copics using 2 different Copic colours to blend a background for my lion.

The sentiment was stamped with Versamark ink and heat embossed with white embossing powder onto a piece of black cardstock.

I popped the whole panel and sentiment strip up with foam tape and that's it for my card.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Supplies:

Newton's Nook Tropical Leaves stencil
MFT Die-namics Square PeekBoo window
Lawn Fawn Wild for You stamp set

Wishing you a beautiful adventure

Hi everyone,

Today's card is for the current Simon Says Stamp challenge 'For the Boys' which can be found here.

Here's my card:

I started by creating a stencil using Lawn Fawn's Puffy Clouds Borders die set so I could add the clouds blending 5 different colours of Distress inks. I then moved onto stamping the images and colouring the boy and little doggie with Copics and stamping the bicycle with Peacock Feathers Distress ink.

Once everything was complete I ran the background through my die cutting machine to add a stitched detail to the edges of my card. Stamped the sentiment and popped the panel up and all images up with foam tape onto a panel of patterned paper. I added some Nuvo drops and that's it for my card.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

You rule

Hi everyone,

Well I think the warmer weather is finally starting to arrive. Lawn ornaments and lights are out and the deck is starting to look more like our outside summer home space. Love it!!!

I have a card today for the current Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge here where the theme is 'For the Boys'.

I used the Little Dog Agenda stamp set from Mama Elephant and picked 5 little doggies that could be for boys, skateboard, guitar, cape, mug or beer and a beach ball. (Of course they would also work for little girls too).

I started with a patterned paper panel which I die cut using a Simon Says Stamp stitched rectangle die. Then I went on to die cutting frames (intentionally not lined up) using 2 of the smaller frames from Hero Arts Postage Stamp Infinity die set out of contrasting paper.

I popped up the whole panel up with foam tape and then added each little Copic coloured doggies to a frame. All papers and sentiment are from Lawn Fawn.

Well that's it for my card and thanks for stopping by.

Supplies:

Hero Arts Postage Stamps Infinity dies set
Simon Says Stamp Stitched Rectangle die set
Mama Elephant Little Dog Agenda stamps
Lawn Fawn Polka, Mon Amie 6x6 paper pack
Lawn Fawn Wild For You stamp set

Happy Mother's Day

Hi everyone,

A very Happy Mother's to all you wonderful moms out there. Give yourselves a bit pat on the back. You deserve it!
I can't think of a better way to spend the day but in a morning Yoga class and then later on dinner with my hubby and kids. Maybe sneak in a trip to my local stamp store.

Today I have a card to share for this occasion.

I started by stamping this beautiful Dahlia bouquet from WPlus9 on to some watercolour paper and then heat embossing with gold embossing powder.

I used several colours of Zig markers to colour in the image. I stamped the sentiment with the same gold embossing powder and added to the bottom of the card. I used a Pierced Mat die from Avery Elle and some patterened paper to add the border around my card.

Added a few sequins for some sparkle and colour and that's it for my card.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Sweet birthday wishes

Hi everyone,

Here I am again with the Sunny Studio Stamps but this time using the Berry Bliss stamp and die set.

I had already stamped and die cut a bunch of berries a while ago using Altenew ink cubes. The frame is from Mama Elephant to which I die cut it with white cardstock and then blended Twisted Citron Distress ink over top and added some water splatters.

I cut a piece of patterned paper to go behind everything and then foam mounted the frame and each of the berries. I stamped the sentiment onto the middle panel which was adhered directly to the base.

I used the Wishes die (also from Sunny Studios) on some red cardstock.

For a final touch I added Studio Katia crystal cones in 2 sizes.

Well that's it for my card and thanks for stopping by.

Supplies:

Sunny Studio Stamps Berry Bliss stamp and die set
Sunny Studio Stamps Birthday Balloon stamp
Sunny Studio Stamps Wishes word die
Mama Elephant Tri Window Cover die
Lilybee Design patterned paper
Distress Inks Twisted Citron
Altenew inks

Coolest birthday wishes

Hi everyone,

A week or so ago I posted on Instagram a bunch of popsicles that I had made using the Sunny Studio stamp and die set called Perfect Popsicles. Well here is a card that I made using some of them. I had so much fun stamping these out.

I stamped the popsicles with various colours of inks and die cut them out. I used a Sizzix die to cut a background for my popsicles and ran it through an embossing folder. I layered the die cut piece to a piece of patterned paper and then foam mounted the 3 popsicles on top. Added sequins in the same colours and stamped the sentiment with white embossing powder onto a piece of red cardstock cut with a smaller Sizzix die and added it to my card.

Well that's it for my card and thanks for stopping by.

Supplies:

Sunny Studio Stamps Perfect Popsicles
Cuttlebug D'Vine Swirl embossing folder
Sizzix die set 658363
Doodlebug Sunkissed 6x6 paper pad

Have a sweet day!

Hi everyone,

I haven't posted lately as I have been away for a few days in New Hampshire doing some hiking and shopping and picking up some new stamp products from Mama Elephant and Hero Arts. Yeah!!!

I do have a card to share that I actually made before I left but didn't get time to post it.

I used a new stamp and die set from Sunny Studio Stamps called Berry Bliss. I stamped the cherries using 3 different colours of Altenew ink and the stem was stamped using 2 different Simon Says Stamp inks.

Once the cherries were die cut I used some Distress ink to blend a little background colour for the cherries.

I cut 2 strips using Lawn Fawn patterned paper to go on either side of my panel and die cut each using a Pretty Pink Posh die. I used the same die to cut my main panel with. I added the strips directly to the base and foam mounted the white panel over top. I added some water splats and a few accents of Nuvo Jewel drops around the cherries and a bit on each cherry.

The sentiment is also from Sunny Studio Stamps using the Pretty Popsicles stamp set.

Well that's it for my card and thanks so much for stopping by.

Supplies:

Sunny Studio Stamps Berry Bliss stamp and die set
Sunny Studio Stamps Perfect Popsicles stamp set
Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Borders 4
Altenew Rouge, Crimson, Velvet inks
Simon Says Stamp Jelly Bean, Lucky inks
Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid 6x6 paper pack
