Oops apparently I am a little too late for this challenge #144over at the theplaydatecafe.blogspot.ca. Sometimes a little too hard to keep track. Anyways I hope you like the card!
Used Memory Box Tessatina Border but left some of the little white pieces in for a different effect. Made the little medallions in different sizes. Added sentiment and some gemstones and pearls.

Get Well Soon

Get Well Soon by Craftin' Judy
Get Well Soon, a photo by Craftin' Judy on Flickr.

I made this card for the Hero Arts August Sketch Challenge. I die cut the white circle using the Spellbinders Big Scalloped circles which I then passed through the Fiskars Scale pattern texture plate. Same for the greeting background.
Die cut the plain circle from aqua cardstock and did the same for the glitter cardstock. The flowers are from the HA CG309 Sweet Threads Set.
The white flower was embossed with white powder then I inked over top using HA Cerulean ink. The smaller flower I stamped directly with the same ink then cut them both out.
The sentiment is from Rubber Stampede A2465C.
Hope you enjoy this card as I think the colours are a real 'pick me up' if I say so myself. LOL.
Thanks for stopping by and having a look!

Happy Anniversary

Happy Anniversary by Craftin' Judy
Happy Anniversary, a photo by Craftin' Judy on Flickr.

I made this card for the Hero Arts August sketch challenge. Background was stamped with the Lattice Background stamp and embossed with Silver Pearl embossing powder. I die cut the Spellbinders Classic Petal borders. The black stripes are actually felt which is in the paper design. Sentiment is CL342 Everyday Sayings set from Hero Arts. I embellished the card with the little hearts that were left over from die cutting the borders and added some pearls for some added interest.

I made this for Challenge #10 - The Krafty Corner over at http://www.ablognamedhero.blogspot.ca/. The small butterflies are one stamp (Penny Black  3648K - Butterfly Edge) which I stamped then clear embossed. I punched out the other butterflies to add some dimension. Die cut some scalloped circles and added some gemstones.
Sentiment is from the Hero Arts Everyday Sayings set.

Just saying hello

Just saying hello by Craftin' Judy
Just saying hello, a photo by Craftin' Judy on Flickr.

This one is for the HA August sketch challenge.
I know that these colours are sort of traditionally Fall or Hallowe'en colours but I kind of liked them together so I went with it.
The yellow background was stamped with the Envelope Liner Background - CG401 using Soft Sand shadow ink. The black strip is Memory Box Piestra Tile die cut.
The flowers are from the Bold Pop Design Set from Sizzix/Hero Arts. Orange flower embossed with clear powder and the tan flower was embossed with white powder.
Sentiment is Hero Arts also. I passed the white cardstock through the Spellbinders Simplicity M-Bossabilities folder before stamping the sentiment. Oh, almost forgot but I gave the edges of both flowers a little pass with my Tim Holtz distressing tool. Added a little glitter butterfly and some pearls and gemstones. Thanks for having a look!

Background and yellow strip were done using the Spellbinders So Trendy embossing folder. Sentiment and little flower are also Hero Arts.

Just a fun Happy Birthday card

Happy Birthday by Craftin' Judy
Happy Birthday, a photo by Craftin' Judy on Flickr.

Card made for the Hero Arts August Sketch Challenge.
Flower and leaves are from the Blossom Art set from HA - CL495.
I stamped the flower and leaves onto watercolour paper then white embossed them. I sprayed my craft sheet with Distress inks - Chipped Sapphire, Tumbled glass and Broken China, spritzed with a little water then ran the paper over top. Same process for the leaves but used Peeled Paint and Shabby Shutters.
Not too sure if you can see this but I sprayed the flower with Perfect Pearls to give it a little sheen. Ribbon is May Arts and the sentiment is HA CL574. Added some gemstones and purposely added a large gemstone in the middle of the flower. Hope you like it and thanks for looking.

My Craft Ribbon Storage

Just wanted to share with you the way in which I store my craft ribbons. I find this method to be quite handy! Below the video is a photo of the complete rack. When shooting this video I realized that I have far, far too many ribbons. LOL!

My lovely neighbours

Before I sign off for the night I just wanted to share with you some of my little neighbours. I'm sure you too will find them quite adorable! First off we have a Goldfinch, next a male and female cardinal (they are always together and I have been trying for a long time to get their photo) and lastly 2 baby raccoons and not too far away Mommy. I stood for quite a while and watched them. Mom actually has 5 babies in total. Not too sure where Daddy was. Maybe out hunting!! LOL.
Isn't nature just wonderful!!

My little house

I'd like to share with you my little house card. I'm thrilled with the results.

I made this card using the new Impression Obsession dies (window, door and fence).
The tree and leaves were punched out. The bird was stamped using a large IO background stamp and I just cut out the little birdie. The sentiment is from Bo-Bunny.The window panes are done using vellum.
I hope you like it. I will for sure be making others and posting them here.
Thanks for stopping by and having a look.

Black and white you say!!!!

Well we are in to August now and what a great summer we have been having. Nice and hot. Almost too hot!!! But no matter what the weather, black and white is always a great combination and knows no season. For that I have created this card for the HA August sketch design challenge.
